When Eyecare at Home calls to examine your eyes, we will bring all the equipment that we need. However, it would be very helpful if you could have the following items to hand at the time of our visit.
· A list of your current medication
· Your most recent pairs of spectacles
· The approximate date of your last NHS sight test( if applicable)
· Any written spectacle prescription that you have
· Proof of your NHS eligibility (if applicable). This could be a document with your date of birth on it such a pension book, passport, bus pass or similar to prove that you are over 60 or your benefit book or exemption certificate if you qualify on income grounds
The appointment will take about 1 hour and is best performed in a room that can be made darker, for example by drawing the curtains. Two or three Dining room type chairs are useful but not essential and it is perfectly possible to conduct the test with you in bed, if that is easier for you.
Should I find a change in your prescription or if you would like to buy a fresh pair anyway I will be happy to show you frames from the selection that of over 160 pairs that we carry.
Once your spectacles have been made up we will arrange a convenient time to deliver them and fit them comfortably to your face. If at any time you require a repair or adjustment to your frame we will be happy to call back to you to.
